Most email services cap attachments around 25 MB — too small for a lot of video files. Libero Mail's JumboMail feature (also called DriveMail) works around that limit. Here's exactly how it works.
How JumboMail works
When you attach a file larger than 25 MB to a message in Libero Mail, the service automatically switches your message into a DriveMail. Instead of embedding the file directly in the email, it uploads the file to your Libero Drive cloud storage and inserts a download link into the message body.
Size limits
DriveMail supports files up to 2 GB per message, depending on how much free space you have available in your Drive storage allowance. That’s large enough for most personal videos, though very long or high-resolution footage can still exceed it.
What the recipient sees
The person you send the file to doesn’t need a Libero Mail account. They’ll receive a normal-looking email containing a link, which they can click to preview the file online or download it directly — no sign-up required on their end.
Sharing controls
Because the file lives in your Drive rather than being sent directly, you keep some control after sending: you can set how long the download link stays active, and optionally protect it with a password before sending.
Sending a standard attachment instead
If you’d rather attach a small file the traditional way, just remove anything over 25 MB and make sure the “Use DriveMail” option is unchecked when composing your message. The remaining files will attach normally instead of converting to a link.
Frequently asked questions
What’s the maximum file size for JumboMail?
Up to 2 GB per message, limited by your available Drive storage space.
Does the recipient need a Libero Mail account to open the file?
No. They receive a standard email with a download link that works without signing up for anything.
Can I password-protect a file sent through JumboMail?
Yes, DriveMail lets you add a password and set an expiration for the sharing link before you send it.
